The Bikes

There weren't many bikes at the show, but these were part of a local vintage bike club display.

4Q Triumph

Another of 4Q's Brits. Just a lovely, simple bike that has tons of personality.

Another swingarm

Cool bike. It belongs to SltyDog off the J.J. and it's rear end isn't as customized as T-Bones in the last post, but it's very nice nonetheless. Fender's still on the chrome struts, pipes look stock, but great seat set-up and clean front end. The wheels kill too.

Swingarms

Lately, I've been digging swingarm bikes a lot. Now, they can look like a bag of crap if they're done badly but this scoot belongs to T-Bone of (((Noise))). It's just awesome. I think he must have mounted the fender to the swingarm and ditched those chrome fender stays, and the fender/seat/tank combo kills.

Righteous Panhead

Holy $h!tb@ll$, this bike is gnarly. Super cool painted & molded frame, Wassel(?) tank, high apes, fish-tails and a schweet king n' queen. Bad ass.

Tough as nails

Super hard Sporty off the picture thread on the J.J. Dig that tank!

Monday Sporty

Real nice sporty found on the J.J. Someone would undoubtedly call this a "bobber". Then I would kick them in the throat.

Special Post...

I love the Jockey Journal, and so does every other guy out there. But for those of you who haven't checked it out, here's why it's so good.

This Knuck belongs to Tim (or Deguello, his J.J. nom de guerre). Now, who would you rather trust with your questions, project stories or to buy your parts from; some dealer or online store, or the kind of guys who put together and ride bikes of this caliber?

That's what I thought. So, thanks again for the gas tank Tim, and The Jockey Journal for being a great forum. The link is now in the "Essential Reading" sidebar.

Love me a pan...

1948 Panhead.

Swedish Triumph

What a cool bike! Next post will be H.D. though. If i post another trump for a while, I'll gag.

P.s. M.J.'s a goner, not that i was a huge fan.

And on a "alright, Toronto" note, Perez Hilton got smacked in the eye here the other day.

Good.

The Harbortown Bobber.

Another awesome looking film from the guys that brought you choppertown. Looks like a blast to me. Oh and I love the egg shaped oil tank....

Check out their site www.harbortownbobber.com for more details.

Update - Here's a shot of the bike for the Flash-challenged among us.

Nao from Psycho Wheels Japan's Triumph

This bike is super cool. Max Schaaf did the paint on the tank I think. The seat and fender are rad, and considering it's Japan with their crazy safety rules, there's no front brake.

What's a couple of tickets for the sake of looking right on, huh?

Joyrides Art Co. - Denver Dan

I found these articles through Chopper Dave's Blog. There's one on Dan, Cole Foster, and a handful of other guys. The photo's are great, and the attitude of Dan and Cole is really interesting. They seem really normal. No OCC drama, theme bikes or huge budgets. Just ordinary guys who would rather make a simple part themselves than dream of flipping open a catalog.

4Q Triumph

Wow. 4Q works on brits too! Tower of Rad includes - HD springer, hoop hardtail, sweet "dimpled" oil tank, great Schaaf-style exhaust and finned primary cover. Mmmm...

Justin's new scoot

Justin's 1970 Triumph T120R Bonneville. She's pretty much stock with a couple inches of drop. There are a few things to sort out, but she runs like a top.

John Edwards in Street Chopper

Picked up the new issue of Street Chopper, and as usual it was chock full of rad. Highlights were John Edwards '52 Pan and Eric Webb's Shovel.
